The Gates of Peace

Ten glass gates donated to the city on the 60th anniversary of the atomic bombing. They were designed by the artist Clara Halter and the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, who also created the Wall for Peace in Paris. The word "Peace" is inscribed on the transparent glass panels in 49 languages and 18 alphabets.
