Hiroshima Castle

Also known as Carp Castle, the castle was built in the 1590s by the feudal lord Mori Terumoto. After it was destroyed by the atomic bombing in 1945, it was rebuilt and now it serves as a history museum.

The exhibition is devoted to the history of Hiroshima and to the castle itself but also to Japanese castles in general. It also features a Samurai exhibition. Climb to the top floor to enjoy panoramic views of the city.
