Situated on the San Francisco Bay waterfront, this neighborhood is one of the city's crown attractions. The area is home to the Maritime Museum, as well as the cleanest sandy beach in the state. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987, it is a popular relaxing destination both among locals and tourists.
