Visit one of four traditional quarters in the Old City, which was formed by a continual presence of Jewish community since 800 BC. It holds numerous synagogues and Jewish heritage landmarks, which were marked by the 1948 War of Independence, when the Jewish inhabitants were casted out.
The major sites of religious or historical significance in the area include the Western Wall, the Hurva Synagogue, and of course the Cardo.
