Walls of Ávila is an astonishing example of a well-preserved medieval fort - 2,5km long and consisting of two gates and 82 towers, it is the best preserved fortification in the whole Spain.

This historical sight, which building began as early as in 1090, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1985.
