Local nameTemple of Artemis (Artemisio)
LocationAtatürk, Izmir, Türkiye

This Greek temple was dedicated to the Goddess of the Hunt Artemis and it was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The remains of the temple were rediscovered back in 19th century.

There is not much left from the former building – only one standing column and plenty of surrounding stones and fragments of the sculptures. The artefacts from the excavations can be found in Ephesus Archaeological Museum.
