Locally known simply as Marienkirche, this Lutheran church is located in the heart of Berlin, with an imposing Martin Luther statue situated in front of it. Presumably dating back to the 13th century, it is one of the oldest churches in Berlin. Though originally built as a Gothic hall, the building you can now see is the result of a 19th-century restoration.
