Place du Tertre

This square is the true heart of Montmartre and a gathering place for the district's artists ever since the beginning of the 20th century. If you are thinking about buying some piece of art from locals or getting your portrait painted in the artsiest part of Paris, this is the place to go.

You may remember this cozy square (and the whole Montmartre area) from the popular French film - Amélie (starring Audrey Tautou).

Dalí's museum is only a short walk from this square. It is also close to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica which is the highlight of this district.
