Mihrimah Sultan Mosque

Designed by the famous Turkish architect Mimar Sinan, this 16th century mosque has one minaret and a 20 m wide dome. Its interior is nicely lit thanks to the walls pierced with rows of windows. The building was damaged during an earthquake in 19th century, but now it is open again after many years of restoration work.
