Juliet's House

When the city of Verona bought this house in 1905, the name of the previous owner reminded them of the Capulets so much, they claimed that this is where the fictional Juliet used to live.

Today, there are many lovers coming here to have their photo taken on the balcony while kissing. There is a statue of Juliet in front of the house that is believed to bring luck, if you grope its right breast. Thanks to the statue being visibly overused, it's safe to conclude that many people come here for this reason.

You could write messages on the walls in the past, but the authorities decided it would be better if people started writing their messages on disposable canvas in front of the building. You can also write a love note and pin it here, if you do so, supposedly you'll stay together forever. If you want to write a letter but you don't have anyone to write it to, try Juliet. Local volunteers receive hundreds of letters every year and try to reply to them as much as they can. Lastly, couples often bring locks here and lock them anywhere around this building.
