Situated in the middle of Alexanderplatz, this fountain was designed by Walter Womacka in 1970. Decorated with colourful paintings, the base of the fountain depicts doves and flowers, symbolizing peace. It is surrounded by a pavement seating area, usually crammed with people who tend to gather here especially during summer, looking for a place to cool down. It also serves as a meeting point.
