The most prestigious shopping street in Athens was remodelled for the 2004 Olympic Games, but it dates back to 1883 - it was one of the first roads designed in modern Athens.
Glamorous shop windows display shoes, jewellery, and clothes of all thinkable brands. Apart from fashion shops and shopping centres, there are also plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants.
