Terrace of the Elephants

Local nameលានជល់ដំរី
LocationSiem Reap Province, Cambodia

Used for games, festivals and public ceremonies, this over 300-metre long terrace is an intriguing sight. It was built during the reign of the king Jayavarman VII, who would listen to complaints of the citizens of his kingdom every day. The elephant trunks carved into the terrace look and serve as pillars. You will get the best views from the middle of the platform.
