Royal Palace of Amsterdam

The classicist palace located on the Dam Square began its life in the 17th century as a city hall.

Dam Square

The central square of Amsterdam got its name from its original purpose. Before there was a square, there was a real dam on the Amstel river.

National Monument

This monument was erected after WWII to commemorate the horrible things that happened during that period of time. It was designed by J.J.P.

Weigh House

The Waag is a 15th-century building on Nieuwmarkt square in Amsterdam. It was originally a city gate and part of the walls of Amsterdam.
