Vigeland Sculpture Park

Local nameVigeland-museet
LocationOslo, Norway

This unique museum and a sculpture park is completely dedicated to the work of a single man: Gustav Vigeland.

The prominent 20th-century Norwegian sculptor created several hundred statues out of various materials throughout his career, most notable among them the design for the Nobel prize. You can find most of them collected here, along with the artist's sketches, designs, and photos. Even the sculptor's flat is a part of the exhibitions.

The easiest way to get to the museum is via tram. Line number 12 has a stop in front of a nearby park. Before visiting, make sure to check the official website of the museum, as there are often concerts or other events that you might not want to miss hosted here.
