Part of the Dusit Palace complex, this villa was built by Rama VI as his residence. It also served as the unofficial residence of King Rama IX and Queen Sirikit.
The palace is surrounded by extensive grounds, which also contain the Chitralada School, attended by the children of the royal family and palace staff. Unfortunately, the grounds are closed to the public.
The palace is not generally open to visitors.
