Wat Bupparam

Local nameวัดบุพพาราม
LocationChiang Mai, Thailand

This site witnessed a very important historical event, when in 1797 Chao Kawila liberated the city from Burmese rule. The temple itself is built in Burmese style.

There is a statue Donald Duck in the garden in front of the temple which is probably not the place you would expect to find this cartoon character. So if you hear somebody speak about the “Donald Duck temple”, they are probably referring to this site.
