This square was known by many names throughout its history (depending mainly on the historical period). Now it is known as the Main Square and the name says it all. This is the very heart of Bratislava's old town. It is also a great place to admire the beautiful architecture and ambience of the city.
Among the many buildings worth seeing here are e.g. the Old Town City Hall, Kutscherfeldov palace or the Holy Saviour Church. There is also a beautiful fountain called Maximilian Fountain and a statue of Schöner Náci - a popular local figure.
