This gallery houses the largest public collection of art in Norway. The artists displayed here range from the Old Dutch Masters to Christian Krohg, Edvard Munch, and other renowned Norwegian painters. The exhibitions also include international artists, such as El Greco, Pablo Picasso and Claude Monet.

Some of the highlights to be admired in this gallery are Munch's The Scream and also his Loving Woman. It also houses a collection of furniture and architecture models and sketches. In addition, there are several sculptures located outside the gallery, so be sure to check these as well.

The nearest bus station is about a 4-minute walk away, it's called Nationaltheatret, lines 150, 160 and 250. Tullinløkka bus and tram station is also very close.
