Dome of the Rock

Local nameDome Of The Rock • כיפת הסלע
LocationOld City of Jerusalem, Israel

Marvel at this 7th-century dominant, said to be the first dome-shaped shrine to be built, can be seen from all over Jerusalem.

It's also a significant religious site, since it was built on the rock believed to be the place from which Muhammad ascended into heaven. Definitely worth the visit!
