What to Do in Agra

Taj Mahal

A wonderful mausoleum complex considered to be the Jewel of Muslim architecture in India. Its famous white marble mausoleum is part of a bigger complex surrounded by amazing gardens.

Agra Fort

A huge fort with massive walls, in fact it is a small city surrounded by fort. Its massive walls are very impressive, when visiting Agra, do not miss it.

Jama Masjid Mosque

A worth-seeing mosque right opposite the Agra Fort. It is one of the largest mosques of India, although it has no minaret. Interior is decorated with marble patterning.

Taj Nature Walk

A beautiful park only 500 meters east of entrance to Taj Mahal. There is a perfect view of Taj Mahal, you can also watch various species such as birds that are nesting here.

Itimad-Ud-Daulah Tomb

The complex of buildings served as a tomb in Mughal Empire. It is often nicknamed as „Baby Taj“. The tomb itself is amazing as well as its surroundings and gardens.

Chini-Ka-Rauza Monument

A funerary monument from 1635. Allama Afzal Khan Mullah, scholar and poet is buried here. Its interior is decorated with beautiful fresco paintings.

Moonlight Garden

A beautiful garden offering wonderful view of Taj Mahal. It is newly reconstructed to protect Taj from erosion, so it offers a perfect place for walks.

Grape Garden

A charming garden surrounded by buildings that served as living area of royal ladies. There are beautiful red sandstone arcades.

Gurudwara Guru ka Taal Shrine

A shrine dedicated to Guru Tegh Bahadur who was executed by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. It is a place of high historic and religious importance.

Tomb of Akbar the Great

A mausoleum of Akbar the Great and masterpiece of Mughal architecture. It is a unique combination of Hindu and Muslim architectures.

Rām Bāgh Garden

The oldest Mughal garden in India. The gardens with canals should represent Islamic ideal of paradise. The water canals create beautiful cascades.

Mariam's Tomb

A white marble mausoleum of wife of Akbar The Great Marian Zamani. It is a beautiful structure and you should see it.

Swami Bagh Temple

This temple is the headquarters of the Radhasoami religious sect. It is a huge white marble mausoleum. It is known for amazing carvings using various colours of marble.
