Central-Mid-Levels Escalator System

Local name中環至半山自動扶手電梯系統 Central-Mid-Levels Escalator System
LocationHong Kong, China

This complex of escalators and travelators was built in 1993 and it is one of the longest escalator systems in the world. You can take the escalator to the top and then have a pleasant walk through the surrounding neighbourhood while visiting the local shops, cafés and takeaway restaurants. While traveling, you can enjoy a wonderful view of adjacent streets.

However, since the escalator is not only a sight but it is also actively used by the locals, it might get crowded, especially during the rush hours.
